Marine Contractor in Delray Beach

Seawall repair, dock construction, boat lifts, and pre-purchase marine inspections across Delray Beach's Intracoastal, Lake Ida, and canal waterfront communities.

Delray Beach

Two Different Waterfronts. One Contractor Who Knows Both.

Delray Beach has two distinct waterfront environments that age seawalls and docks differently. The Intracoastal Waterway through Delray carries heavy boat traffic and tidal current from the Lake Worth Inlet, putting consistent stress on any seawall with ICW exposure. Properties on the interior canal system and Lake Ida are calmer, but they develop their own problems: slower deterioration that owners often miss until it's well advanced.

We work throughout Delray Beach and know both environments well. Tropic Isle and Delray Beach Shores on the east side have some of the most demanding seawall conditions in Palm Beach County. Lake Ida waterfront has its own permit requirements through the City that differ from ICW work. We've done projects in both and understand what each involves.

Delray Beach is also where we do a significant number of pre-purchase seawall inspections. The city has beautiful waterfront homes, many of them built in the 1960s and 70s, with original concrete seawalls that need honest assessment before a buyer takes them on.

What We Do in Delray Beach

Services for Delray Beach Waterfront Properties

Seawall Repair

Delray Beach seawalls on the Intracoastal face strong tidal currents and consistent boat wake from the busy Lake Worth Inlet corridor. We repair failing concrete and vinyl seawalls, stopping active deterioration and addressing the soil voids common in Delray's coastal substrate before they become sinkholes.

New Seawall Construction

We build new seawalls throughout Delray Beach, from Lake Ida's interior lakefront properties to exposed Intracoastal lots in Tropic Isle and Delray Beach Shores. Full permitting through the City of Delray Beach and Palm Beach County.

Custom Dock Building

Delray Beach dock projects range from compact residential canal docks to substantial Intracoastal configurations with multiple slips and boat lifts. We custom-design for your specific waterfront, handle every permit, and build with materials appropriate for your exposure level.

Boat Lift Installation

A boat lift is essential on Delray Beach's Intracoastal where hull fouling from warm brackish water happens fast. We install lifts from 4,000 to 50,000 lbs, sized for your vessel, with all required electrical connections and a load test before handover.

Marine Inspections

Delray Beach waterfront real estate includes many homes with seawalls built in the 1960s through 1980s. A pre-purchase marine inspection is essential. We've walked buyers away from properties with failing seawalls that would have cost more to fix than the discount they would have negotiated.

Delray Beach FAQ

Common Questions from Delray Beach Property Owners

Delray Beach sits in an interesting middle position between Boca Raton's ICW conditions and the more sheltered Lake Worth lagoon. The Intracoastal through Delray is influenced by the Lake Worth Inlet to the north. There's consistent tidal flow and significant boat traffic from the Palm Beach marinas year round. Lake Ida and the interior canal system are much calmer, and seawall deterioration there tends to be more gradual. We assess each property on its own conditions rather than applying a one-size approach.
Yes. Palm Beach County has designated manatee protection zones that affect the timing of certain marine construction activities. Specifically, pile driving is restricted during manatee slow-speed zone active periods in many areas. We identify applicable restrictions during the design phase and schedule work to comply, which can affect project timelines. We've planned around these restrictions on many Delray projects and build the schedule accordingly.
We prioritize pre-purchase inspections and can typically schedule within 3 to 5 business days. For transactions with tight inspection periods, contact us immediately and we'll do our best to accommodate. We deliver written reports within 48 hours of the inspection. The report includes photographs, condition ratings for each wall component, and repair cost estimates that you can use directly in your negotiation.
Throughout the city. Tropic Isle, Delray Beach Shores, Harbour Cove, Lake Ida, Seagate, Delaire Country Club waterfront, the Intracoastal estates along A1A, and the canal neighborhoods east of Federal Highway. We also work in the High Point and Rainberry Bay areas that border Lake Ida. If your property is in Delray Beach and touches water, call us.
