Always choose a lift rated at least 20% above your vessel's fully loaded weight, including fuel, water, gear, and passengers. If your boat weighs 6,000 lbs dry, you need a minimum 8,000 lb rated lift. Boathouse lifts or projects requiring piling modifications may take 3 to 5 days. The permitting phase, which we manage, adds 2 to 8 weeks depending on your municipality.
Standard residential boat lifts typically require a dedicated 120V or 240V circuit, depending on motor size and lift capacity. Larger commercial lifts may require three-phase power. We assess your dock's existing electrical service during the site visit and include any required electrical panel upgrades or new circuit runs in our project scope and pricing.
